Made by Lonneke van Roessel
This handmade tulip vase is, if we may say so, Lonneke's signature piece.
This item could be used as a sculpture in your interior, but we would definitely advise you to use it as a vase! The effect of the different holes in the vase is really extraordinarily beautiful. This item is glazed and waterproof.
Lonneke started at the turntable and continued with manual construction. The last one felt most suitable for her, so that’s what she does most. She only works with coarse clay and builds her sculptures layer bij layer.
It takes about 4 weeks to make this vase. The clay must regularly dry in between and Lonneke works with many layers. Sometimes she also uses ash, oxide or pigment in het work. We fell in love with the rawness of it. You can literally see how her hands built this piece and that makes her work so personal.
